St. David’s Day
As well as celebrating World Book Day it was also St. David’s Day – the Patron Saint of Wales. The dragon, leeks and daffodils are symbols of Wales and Little Ava who is a Butterfly came into nursery with her Daddy and both had large daffodil hats on they looked amazing. During the day the children painted pictures of daffodils and played with leeks in the water tray.
In Pre-school Alys and Freddie’s mummy Louise came in to read 2 stories in Welsh. One of the stories was Dear Zoo which is a favourite of the children’s and they were able to join in with the story. Louise also brought lots of Welsh memorabilia as well. A very busy day!
